Grey Concrete
The reliable, cost-effective standard for structural and foundation work.
Specifications
Plain grey concrete isn't glamorous, but it's the backbone of most construction projects and the starting point for many decorative finishes applied later. When you need a garage slab, shed floor, retaining wall footing or sub-base, grey concrete poured correctly and cured properly is the most cost-effective structural choice.
Bright Stone pours grey concrete to AS 3600 residential standards - mix design, slump, water-cement ratio and curing method are all controlled, not guesswork. We don't cut corners on base preparation: a well-compacted and level base is what prevents the cracking and subsidence that cheaper crews leave you to deal with later.
A standard trowel finish is included. If the slab will later be tiled, polished or overlaid, we adjust the finish specification accordingly. Grey concrete poured properly also keeps all decorative upgrade options open later - coloured, honed or exposed aggregate can all be applied over a sound plain slab.
