Honed aggregate is a natural fit for Fremantle's design sensibility - the smooth, contemporary surface reads as intentional rather than default, photographs well against brick and limestone facades, and holds up to the pedestrian traffic that inner-city properties see. Coloured concrete is the other common choice, with mineral oxide tones available to complement the sandstone and brick palette that defines much of the area.
